Shadow Gap hidden cornice profile
An aluminum ceiling profile that replaces the classic drywall cornice. It separates the wall from the ceiling with a precise shadow gap — a controlled shadow line obtained from the profile's geometry, not from an added element.
It works perfectly as a purely architectural detail, even without LED strip lighting. The gap creates its own shadow, and the connection between the wall and ceiling remains clean and intentional. Where the design also requires light, the inner channel accommodates an LED strip and diffuser for indirect light that washes the wall with no visible source.
The difference compared to a drywall-built cornice is a matter of design decision. A classic cornice consumes 20-30 cm of the perimeter and lowers the ceiling; the profile occupies only a few centimeters. You lose no height, build no extra volume, and the resulting line is cleaner than any cornice finished with putty on-site.
It is often also cheaper. A drywall cornice requires metal framing, boards, putty, sanding, and labor per linear meter, with a result that depends on the team's skill. The profile is a single element that is installed and finished along with the wall — less material, fewer days on-site, and a predictable result.
It can be installed in two orientations, depending on the desired effect:
Perimetral — a continuous line around the room's entire contour
Vertical — to accentuate a single surface or a ceiling volume
Installation
The profile is installed in the drywall ceiling. The section is designed for the standard thickness of the panels, so it integrates without adaptations — the perforated wings are filled and finished along with the ceiling. The profile dimensions — height and depth — should be taken from the technical data sheet and correlated with the thickness of the finish layer starting from the layout phase.
The protective film is removed at the end — the edge remains intact, free of putty or paint traces.
Optional: integrated lighting
The inner channel is prepared for a 12 mm wide LED strip and a diffuser. Both are ordered separately, depending on the project.
Why from Design Radar

Delivery
The Seller will inform the Buyer by email of the delivery date at least 3 days before delivery. If the Buyer is unable to take delivery of and accept the goods on the date indicated by the Seller, the Buyer will inform the Seller and will agree with the Seller (no later than 2 days before the date proposed by the Seller for delivery) a new delivery date falling within a maximum of 5 days of the date proposed by the Seller. The Buyer will pay the Seller all costs of storing the goods from the delivery date proposed by the Seller until the newly agreed delivery date. If the Buyer does not inform the Seller that they are unable to take delivery of and accept the goods on the date indicated by the Seller and/or does not agree with the Seller (no later than 2 days before the date proposed by the Seller for delivery) a new delivery date falling within a maximum of 10 days of the date proposed by the Seller, delivery will take place on the date indicated by the Seller.
Returns
Eligible products may be returned only in their original packaging, within a maximum of 14 (fourteen) calendar days of receipt. The item ordered must be returned in the same condition in which it was delivered to the Customer by GC INDOOR, with the same label attached, in its original packaging and together with the delivery documents that accompanied it, where applicable. Within a maximum of 14 (fourteen) days of the return, GC INDOOR undertakes to transfer the value of the Order to the Customer, into a bank account indicated by the Customer who placed the Order. Products manufactured to specifications provided by the Customer (consumer) cannot be returned. Provisions of Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014.
