We believe that light should be of quality and have a fair price. When we talk about Arkoslight , we talk about quality, design and "premium affordable price". Through the innovations it brings every year, the Spanish brand helps us equip our homes and modern interiors with cutting-edge technologies and an extremely clean style.

In the vlog and article below, we present to you their innovations and news from the last edition of the Light + Building Fair in Frankfurt (March 2024).

Arkoslight is one of our favorite manufacturers, which we recommend in many projects, because it offers quality, price, design and the latest trends and technologies.

Invisible Black Effect

The Frankfurt exhibition dedicated a special area to the concept of "Invisible Black".

This effect, developed by Arkoslight, makes the lighting source maintain the same aesthetics, whether the light is on or off. You can see the light in space, but the body seems to be off, because the light beam remains invisible. The technology offers high visual comfort and almost completely hides the light source.

If you have a white ceiling, for example, and white spotlights equipped with this technology, they illuminate without being distinguishable on the ceiling. Basically, those spotlights become "invisible."

Shot Light is a recessed spotlight that we use very often in projects, available in a wide range of variants: sizes, different finishes, trimless (frameless), asymmetrical options.

Our favorite option is trimless : recessed spotlights without a frame, which create a perfectly smooth space. It is important to know that, with frameless spotlights, the builder must finish the ceiling very well, so that the spotlight, after installation, looks like it is part of the ceiling.

Invisible Black technology is used in various types of lighting fixtures, including track lighting.

The Black Foster collection, inspired by LEGO shapes, offers the Invisible Black effect.

LOW UGR = more visual comfort

The degree of comfort that a lighting fixture offers is based on numerous technical characteristics.

What does "UGR index" mean? The UGR index (Unified Glare Rating) has values from 10 to 30. The higher the brightness value of the lighting source, the greater the degree of discomfort.

All Arkoslight lighting fixtures have UGR <19 , meaning they offer increased visual comfort, pleasant for the eyes and for the space.

The lighting track is only 1 cm thick.

Minimal Track : a lighting track that everyone wants. It is so tiny that you can't go wrong if you choose it. It is a very narrow track of only 1 cm, which can be applied or recessed. If you want to use it recessed, the advantage is that you can mount it even after you have put the drywall, as you can see in the video below.

The most commonly used are 48V rails, which can have many configurations and lighting fixtures.

Spotlights with magnetic system

Magnetic System has garnered a lot of appreciation from our followers on Social Media. The system comes with a solution of the product placed in its frame, on the ceiling or wall, in an extremely simple way. It has no cables, but a magnetic system. Their advantage is that they are very tiny, and the frameless versions have a simple foot.

Magnetic mounting spotlights: we think they are some of the most wow-worthy minimalist architectural lighting solutions.

Outdoor lighting fixtures

Arkos also launched a range of outdoor lights this year – the Yoru garden lamps are awarded the Red Dot Design Award.

Of course, there are also various directional spotlights that can illuminate the terrace or garden.
