The Invisible Black effect
The Frankfurt exhibition dedicated a special area to the "Invisible Black" concept.
This effect, developed by Arkoslight, allows the light source to maintain the same aesthetic whether the light is on or off. You can see the light in the space, but the fixture seems off, because the beam of light remains invisible. The technology offers high visual comfort and almost completely hides the light source.
If you have a white ceiling, for example, and white spotlights equipped with this technology, they illuminate without standing out on the ceiling. Basically, those spotlights become "invisible".
Shot Light is a recessed spotlight that we use very often in projects, available in a wide range of variants: different dimensions, finishes, trimless options, and asymmetrical ones.
Our preferred variant is trimless: recessed spotlights without a frame, which create a perfectly smooth surface. It is important to know that for frameless spotlights, the contractor must finish the ceiling very well so that the spotlight, after installation, appears to be part of the ceiling.
The Invisible Black technology is used in various types of lighting fixtures, including those for lighting tracks.
LOW UGR = more visual comfort
The degree of comfort offered by a lighting fixture is backed by numerous technical characteristics.
What does "UGR index" mean? The UGR (Unified Glare Rating) index has values from 10 to 30. The higher the glare value of the light source, the greater the degree of discomfort.
All Arkoslight lighting fixtures have UGR <19, meaning they offer increased visual comfort that is pleasant for the eyes and the space.
The 1 cm lighting track
Minimal Track: a lighting track that everyone wants. It is so tiny that you cannot go wrong if you choose it. It is a very narrow track of only 1 cm, which can be surface-mounted or recessed. If you want to use it recessed, the advantage is that you can install it even after you have put up the drywall, as you can see in the video below.
Most often, 48V tracks are used, which can have many configurations and lighting fixtures.
Spotlights with a magnetic system
The Magnetic System has sparked a lot of appreciation from our social media followers. The system comes with a product solution that attaches to its frame, on the ceiling or wall, in an extremely simple way. It has no cables, but a magnetic system. Their advantage is that they are very tiny, and the frameless variants have a simple little foot.
Spotlights with magnetic attachment: we believe they are some of the most "wow" solutions for minimalist architectural lighting.
Outdoor lighting fixtures
Arkos has also launched a range of outdoor lights this year – the Yoru garden lamps were awarded the Red Dot Design Award.
Of course, there are also various directional spotlights that can light up the terrace or garden.
